How to make a bouquet last two weeks
Clean vase, sharp cut, fresh water: the five-minute flower care routine our florists swear by.

Most cut flowers fade early for the same few reasons: a dirty vase, a blocked stem or warm water full of bacteria. Fix those and a bouquet can easily last twice as long.
- Wash the vase with hot soapy water before every arrangement.
- Trim 2 cm off each stem at an angle with sharp scissors.
- Strip any leaves that would sit below the water line.
- Use the flower food sachet and refresh the water every two days.
- Keep flowers away from radiators, sunny windows and fruit bowls.
