Termite swarm season: 5 signs you should not ignore
Discarded wings on a windowsill, mud tubes on the foundation or hollow-sounding wood can all point to termites. Here is what to check this spring.

Termite swarmers leave the colony on warm days after rain, looking for a place to start a new nest. Seeing them indoors usually means a colony is already nearby.
What to look for
- Piles of small, identical wings near windows and doors.
- Pencil-thin mud tubes running up the foundation.
- Wood that sounds hollow or crumbles when pressed.
- Bubbling or uneven paint on walls and skirting boards.
- Doors and windows that suddenly stick.
If you spot any of these, do not disturb the area. Book a free inspection and we will confirm the species and the size of the problem.
