Why we pick our Pinot Noir by moonlight
Cold fruit, bright flavours and a crew with head torches: inside our night harvest.

At 2 am the grapes on Block 7 are close to the overnight low. Picking them cold keeps the fruit fresh, slows the start of fermentation and gives us time to sort every cluster by hand before it reaches the press.
How we decide when to pick
We taste berries every morning for the last three weeks before harvest and check sugar, acidity and pH. The numbers guide us, but the final call is always made in the rows, by taste.
